Blasts rock Delhi mosque, Kashmir
Exposions injured at least 13 people at the Jama Masjid mosque, one of Old Delhi's oldest and most renowned structures.
The blasts came just hours after five people were killed and 15 wounded in a series of grenade attacks in India-controlled Kashmir.
Security alerts were issued for the cities of Varanasi and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai and the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Three Islamic militant groups claimed responsibility for the Kashmir attacks, while the bombings at Jama Masjid were obviously targeted at Muslims. Police said the latter attacks were made with unsophisticated explosives.
Sectarian tensions have been high since a deadly attack in the holy city of Varanasi in March.
