Congo candidates warn against foreign meddling

With two weeks left before the deadline to announce winners in Sunday's historic election, candidates have warned foreign powers against meddling with the results.

The United Nations is monitoring the counting process, the first democratic poll in Congo in decades.

President Joseph Kabila is widely favored to win but if he fails to get a majority there will be a runoff on Oct. 29.

Deep division exists between eastern and western regions in the country with the East having a larger voting population.
