Iran to look over nuclear offer

Iran's reaction to a nuclear tradeoff involving the European Union and United States was described as "lukewarm," andIranian official Ali Larijani said the offer should be "further studied."

The plan calls for international development of light-water reactors in Iran, and help in modernizing Iran's commercial aircraft and agricultural technology.

In exchange, Iran would agree to give up its uranium-enrichment program.

If Iran does not agree, it may face the threat of sanctions including freezing of its assets abroad.

Just last week, Iranian Foreign Minister Manoucher Mottaki said that his country would never give up its rights to develop nuclear power. However, after the discussions he said that Iran "will study Europe's incentives package."
